HARRISBURG – Rep. Mike Tobash (R-Schuylkill/Dauphin) voted in favor of the state spending plan for fiscal year 2017-18 on Friday. The budget seeks to spend $31.9 billion, a cost-effective plan which grows spending over last year to 0.2 percent. After the vote, Tobash made the following statement:
WHAT: Rep. Mike Tobash (R-Schuylkill/Dauphin) has been working with his area colleagues to organize and invite the public to the Pottsville Revitalization Public Meeting to present an update about the Pottsville Area Development Corporation, Pottsville Business Association and the City of Pottsville, in relation to revitalization efforts planned for downtown. The public is invited to share thoughts about local attractions, restaurants, hotel and businesses which could create additional jobs, generate revenue and improve property values in the community. PA Industrial Development Authority Executive Director Jared Lucas will be providing information about financing programs to current and prospective small business owners in attendance.
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN – On Saturday, April 29, Rep. Mike Tobash (Schuylkill/Dauphin) will host a Satellite District Office Tour across the 125th District to meet with residents about state and local issues.
WHAT: Rep. Mike Tobash (R-Schuylkill/Dauphin) and PennDOT District 5 Maintenance Manager Tom Rogal, Assistant Maintenance Manager Kevin Kull and District Press Officer Ron Young will be meeting with representatives from local municipalities and Emergency Management Agency (EMA) coordinators from the western part of Schuylkill County to discuss upcoming and recently completed roadwork projects in the district, as well as the snow removal process during the recent blizzard.

WHAT: A new traffic light has been installed at the corner of State Route 901 by Turkey Hill on the Pottsville Minersville Highway. Tobash has been working with Norwegian Township officials to help to initiate this traffic light being placed at this troubled intersection. This ongoing project is the result of local and state officials working together to better the region.
