Berrysburg Municipal Authority to Receive PennVEST Grant/Loan Package
WHAT: Rep. Mike Tobash (R-Schuylkill/Dauphin) will announce that the Berrysburg Municipal Authority has been selected to receive a PennVEST grant/loan package at the authority’s monthly meeting. The project will consist of replacing the existing system with two new sequencing batch reactors, two new aerobic digesters and an ultraviolet disinfection system. The existing clarifier will be repaired and re-fitted to serve as a sludge holding tank. The grant portion of the package totals $178,134, and the loan totals $521,866 with a 360-month term, and interest rate of 1 percent.
